A NEW APPROACH TO MOTHERHOOD

Helping Moms Thrive In Motherhood

Therapy & coaching for women navigating identity shifts, mental load, relationships, & the emotional realities of modern motherhood.

You Expected Motherhood To Be A Big Shift, But You Didn’t Expect This:

Loving your child while grieving your past life;

Waking up already overwhelmed & overstimulated;

Counting the minutes until the next nap;

Feeling resentful towards your partner for an inequitable distribution of the mental load;

Feeling disoriented and unfamiliar with who you are now;

Feeling depressed and scared that this is just what motherhood is.

You aren’t failing. Motherhood is hard.

And it’s even harder when these big feelings are internalized and labeled as shameful.

As mothers, it’s critical that we have a space where we can be honest about everything we love about being a mom, but also the parts we don’t like, the things we weren’t expecting to feel, and what we miss about life and ourselves before kids.

Motherhood can only feel joyful and sustainable when we aren’t trying to shove the harder feelings into a dark, scary corner.

Therapy gives you a space to say the hard thing out loud without fear of judgement or needing to explain yourself.

It’s a space to exhale, even if just for an hour, to slow down, and to get to know who you are in this new phase.

It’s an opportunity to make motherhood your own, and to build a life that feels supported & aligned with what you actually value.

Meet Alyza

I’M A PERINATAL AND COUPLES THERAPIST, & MOM TO A LITTLE ONE.

I knew being a parent would be hard, but I was still surprised by what that meant in real life. In the early days of motherhood, I felt alone, like I was failing, and worried that I’d made a big mistake. I’ve learned some things along the way that changed that. Now, I'm passionate about helping families find their own version of sustainable, joyful parenting, and creating a space where no feelings are taboo.
